Lane Zirnhelt | Chief Operation Officer, Summit Aviation Group
Lane joined Summit in August 2015 and has the responsibility of overseeing the commercial and operational aspects of both Summit Air and Summit Helicopters.
A Certified Professional Accountant by trade, Lane has over 18 years of business and management experience and has been working directly within the aviation industry since 2004. Before joining the Summit Aviation group, Lane was a partner with KPMG LLP.
Matthew McElligott | Vice President, Business Development
Matthew has been with Summit Air since 2012 and is responsible for all marketing and business development initiatives within the company. In addition to seeking out new business opportunities, Matthew is also responsible for the oversight and maintenance of Summit Air’s existing customer and partner relationships.
A relative newcomer to aviation before joining the Summit team, Matthew brings over a decade of experience in various marketing and customer management roles with a strong focus on logistics.
Scott Fletcher | General Manager and Director of Maintenance
Scott is responsible for all elements of the Summit Helicopters operations as the Accountable Executive.
Scott has extensive business knowledge with a proven track record of successful organizational management with a strong focus on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and personal integrity. Scott has been in the aerospace industry for over 35 years, working in all aspects of aviation; from northern operations to national cargo carriers and from OEM’s to international airlines.
Before joining Summit Helicopters, Scott held senior executive positions with Viking Air as Director of Viking Technical Services, and with Kelowna Flightcraft as Maintenance Operations Director. Scott has also held accountable regulatory positions in Canada with Summit Helicopters, Viking Air, Kelowna Flightcraft, and Trans North Helicopters.
Peter Rice | Operations Manager
As Operations Manager, Peter is responsible for business development, maintaining customer relationships, and overseeing day to day company operations for each of our bases across Western and Northern Canada.
Peter is a detail-oriented individual who strives to provide the highest quality service to our customers, with a strong emphasis on safe, sustainable practices.
Before assuming the role of Operations Manager, Peter held the position of Yellowknife Base Manager. In this position, Peter oversaw the various facets of base operation, including aircraft and crew management and relocation, as well as business development across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Additionally, throughout his career in aviation, Peter had gained extensive knowledge in the areas of Production Management and Quality Assurance.
Peter was listed among the Top 10 under 40 in Helicopters Magazine Summer Edition 2013.
Jordan Cyr | Quality / SMS Manager
Jordan is responsible for overseeing and growing the safety program for Summit Helicopters as well as managing the Quality Assurance Program. Jordan provides tactical and strategic leadership in the implementation, development, and use of HS&E programs, as well as developing short-and long-term operational safety objectives to meet the needs of our growing company.
Jordan brings over 15 years of experience in the aviation industry to our team.
Steven Williams | Chief Pilot
Steven comes to Summit Helicopters with a diverse background in IFR/VFR, commercial and military flight operations. With over 33 years of aviation experience flying on five continents, he brings a solid background in aviation operations, training, management, and technical expertise. Steven joined Summit in 2018 from flying offshore in Southeast Asia where he was employed as a training pilot, CRM facilitator and pilot examiner for the Thai Civil Aviation Authority.
